Showcase & Publications
It is an honor and a challenge to be selected to participate in showcase houses, charity benefits, or have work published. Following are some photos and articles that relate to some recent selections.

Beverly Hills Garden & Design Showcase
Historic Greystone Mansion
Each year a team of talented ASID designers are chosen to design
a room in this historic
English Gothic Revival mansion which was built in 1928 for
the Doheny family. The
mansion is now owned by the city of Beverly Hills and proceeds
of this showcase go toward the restoration of Greystone Estate.
Pasadena Showcase
The Pasadena Showcase House of Design is one of the largest continuously running House and Garden tours in the nation. Some of the area's top designers are chosen to participate in this fund raising event and design a room. The proceeds from this event help sponsor the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the Hollywood Bowl along with countless music programs for schools and non-profit organizations.
A child's playroom has whimsical slip covered chairs that are scaled down in size for a ten year old. The room is completed with a custom chalkboard, stenciled hardwood floors, and faux painting on the walls and ceiling. (Decorative painting by Jillian Blaine)

A small
kitchen can be made more interesting by the use of angled surfaces and cabinetry.
Painted and stained cabinet finishes are used together with ceramic tile counters
and tumbled marble backsplash and counter edge. The subzero refrigerator with
freezer drawers (not shown) looks like cabinetry.
A wine tasting room in a French Chateau - or that's what it appears to be. It
is actually a 12' x 12' space designed for "Divine Design", a Los Angeles charity
event. An arch was built to enhance the space & the walls were aged using a faux
paint technique. Distressed reproduction furniture, antique tapestry, and wine
accessories from French vineyards complete the feeling.
